Today started off with a text at 7AM from Lorene that she missed her flight. Long story-short, I agreed to cover her sessions at Professional development day! Yay!
We checked in with the conference folks for that and Sophia got a new mask!

Isn’t that the cutest?? Really, it’s Claire’s present for being a newbie at the meeting this year!!
So then we went to breakfast at Two Chicks (totally Excellent!!! Going back tomorrow) and we met another conference goer…our new friend Tish! Here’s Sophia outside the restaurant after an amazing breakfast.

With our new friend, we went down to the French Quarter to find the most awesomest yarn shop in New Orleans, Quarter Stitch! I have so many awesome things to say about that shop. But it will have to be another post. Here’s a few shots from there. Yes, we got beignets at Cafe Du Monde.
Then, I spent the afternoon giving Lorene’s talk and attending a couple more talks. Some awesome attendees of the second session we’re giving everyone these cute little envelopes with a pattern and note pages inside. Apparently mine also had the brand logo which meant I won a prize! A stitched Beignet!!!! I could not wait to get Sophia next to it!

Isn’t it the best????
Then we had a short break before the CGOA business meeting. 😳
We picked up our goodie bags and swapped colors until everyone was happy.

Then, we headed straight back in the direction of Two Chicks and hit the Italian restaurant.
I am super wiped out, but it’s been a great day. The little pattern in the Freddy Goat envelops was for an amigurumi fish and you will see that tomorrow!!
Meanwhile, here’s a few shots of Sophia crossing the Mississippi (I think) and how she felt when she finally arrived at the hotel.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣…mere words cannot express how much I luv these pics. Sweet lilSophia having such a good time with y’all. Needed to chuckle. These took care of that. 😊😊😘👍🏻👍🏻😊😊😘👍🏻👍🏻🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
